Spanish Wedding // Katie & Daniel

A Spanish Wedding

We wrapped up our destination wedding adventures this year with Katie and Daniel’s Spanish wedding at Casa Felix in Olivella, and we couldn’t have asked for a more amazing experience! Katie and Dan are regulars when it comes to visiting Spain, so it was only natural that they get married around the sun drenched vineyards of Olivella. The venue itself, Casa Felix, is a restored Catalan Masia which lies within the boundaries of an ancient stone wall with parts of it dating back to the 11th Century. As soon as you stepped inside it was like being transported back to another time, oozing with rustic charm and history, the dark and moody interiors really gave off a sense of old world romanticism.

Katie and Daniel met at university 12 years ago, and you could tell they had such a strong bond between them. The day itself was definitely an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish with lots of tears shed during the ceremony as the two brothers delivered a beautiful reading each, and then a round of moving speeches were made just as the sun set causing mass water works! We were also really lucky to work with Katie and Dan’s wedding planners Elaine and Lauren from A Spanish Do who were amazing on the day, everything ran like clockwork and we were looked after and fed more Paella than we could handle! The best moment for us though was the first dance, when Katie and Daniel signalled for everyone to join in, the energy was out of this world, you could see in that moment how loved and important these two were to their friends and family, and we were so happy to be there to capture it. Spanish wedding.
