A Cool Clissold House Wedding
Bryony & James’ Clissold House wedding was a real pleasure to capture. What we loved about it was the laid back, relaxed vibe, and the strong bonds going on between family and friends. Bryony and James were more interested in simply hanging out in the sun for a day with their loved ones, rather than fussing over details, or caving to modern day pressures of putting on a picture perfect event. It was a humble, down to earth day about what matters – their love, and the amazing connection they share with each other.
There were some truly touching moments throughout the day, such as James opening a present and card from Bryony before they saw each other and the musical interlude during their ceremony, when everyone sang The Turtles ‘Happy Together’. We do love a Clissold House wedding! The venue feels intimate and homely – and with Clissold Park as it’s backdrop, it’s really beautiful.
Clissold Park
After the ceremony we headed for some couple portraits in the park. It was only May, but the crazy summer heatwave had already begun, so we found some shade and beautiful dappled light under the willow trees. These guys were naturals in front of the camera, and totally gorgeous to boot – we’re still swooning over Bryony’s stunning dress! Their reception venue was a pub in Stoke Newington, close to home, and their plans really paid off with the sunny weather – they went for a chilled music festival vibe, with fresh tacos, Pimms, and an awesome steel pipe band! Some great speeches ensued and everyone had a good boogie. Bryony and James did a cheeky improvised first dance when they heard The Lumineer’s ‘Ho Hey’ being strum on the acoustic guitars, and didn’t care if anyone was watching – it was just the two of them, so happy together.
