Clissold House Wedding // Bryony & James

Bryony & James’ Clissold House wedding was a real pleasure to capture. What we loved about it was the laid back, relaxed vibe, and the strong bonds going on between family and friends. Bryony and James were more interested in simply hanging out in the sun for a day with their loved ones, rather than fussing over details, or caving to modern day pressures of putting on a picture perfect event. It was a humble, down to earth day about what matters – their love, and the amazing connection they share with each other.

There were some truly touching moments throughout the day, such as James opening a present and card from Bryony before they saw each other and the musical interlude during their ceremony, when everyone sang The Turtles ‘Happy Together’. We do love a Clissold House wedding! The venue feels intimate and homely – and with Clissold Park as it’s backdrop, it’s really beautiful.

After the ceremony we headed for some couple portraits in the park. It was only May, but the crazy summer heatwave had already begun, so we found some shade and beautiful dappled light under the willow trees. These guys were naturals in front of the camera, and totally gorgeous to boot – we’re still swooning over Bryony’s stunning dress! Their reception venue was a pub in Stoke Newington, close to home, and their plans really paid off with the sunny weather – they went for a chilled music festival vibe, with fresh tacos, Pimms, and an awesome steel pipe band! Some great speeches ensued and everyone had a good boogie. Bryony and James did a cheeky improvised first dance when they heard The Lumineer’s ‘Ho Hey’ being strum on the acoustic guitars, and didn’t care if anyone was watching – it was just the two of them, so happy together.

East London Wedding // Shawn & Rachael
Shawn and Rachael's East London wedding was a non-stop whirlwind of events, and we're not quite sure how it all got squeezed into 8 hours! We first met Shawn and Rachael at a wedding fair last September where they happened to be walking past and came to take a look (i.e bag a glass of free champagne). They were a super friendly couple, and so excited to be planning their wedding day together, we hit it off and they booked an engagement session to boot!  Shawn and Rachael met working at a summer kids camp a few years ago 'where Rachel fell for my awesome guitar playing skills and Aussie accent' said Shawn. We really felt like we journeyed wit ...

Greenhouse Wedding // Sophie & Arjen
A botanical greenhouse wedding was on our bucket list, so we were really excited when we got to shoot Sophie & Arjen's wedding at Clifton Nurseries in Little Venice. This little retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city is a perfect spot for a close-knit ceremony, we got to hang out with some lovely people and smell some nice flowers. It also happens to be in the area where Sophie grew up, so felt familiar as well as special to her. We love the story of how they met, and Arjen had everyone in stitches during his speech whilst recounting the story. Arjen is Dutch and Sophie, British, but their worlds collided in Barcelona, where they ...
