Devon Wedding Photographer // Ejing & Florian

Ejing and Florian’s Devon wedding was an epic day, we could not have asked for a more beautiful and sweet couple to capture. Ejing and Florian both live and work in London, but are from two very different parts of the world, (China and France). They planned their wedding only five months after their engagement and really wanted the vibe to be cosy, intimate, and close to nature. Devon Wedding Photographer.

After looking at a few places, they settled on The Horn Of Plenty, a beautifully restored country house hotel nestled away in the woods, rolling hills and winding lanes of Devon. This is a familiar part of the country for us, as Dan’s roots are from Plymouth, so we were extra happy to make the trip! Devon Wedding Photographer.

Ejing is a super talented jewellery designer, (Ejing Zhang Designs) and made both their rings. She used her natural flair for design for lots of the other details too, such as the flowers and her beautiful pearl studded dress. Most importantly though, these guys are totally in love, and their connection with each other surpassed everything else. They had a simple outdoor ceremony, (which the weather was absolutely perfect for!), overlooking the famous Tamar Valley and out across the moor, followed by drinks and lawn lounging. It was a mega hot day, so speeches took place under the shade of a great cedar tree, and it was really humbling to see their families from different cultures come together and celebrate Ejing & Florian’s day with them. Devon Wedding Photographer.

Just before sunset we took them for a little walk to the fields and woods surrounding the house for some couple portraits, the light was amazing and it was beautiful to capture them having a few moments together. By the time we got back, guests had wandered outside to enjoy the sunset before heading in again for dancing, casino games and some good old karaoke! Devon wedding photographer.

Alpha & Clio // Islington Town Hall Wedding
Dan & I were really excited to photograph Alpha & Clio's close-knit Islington Town Hall wedding. They came to us only 5 weeks before their big day so we knew they definitely had that laid back approach we love! Islington Town Hall weddings are some of our favourite to photograph and not just because the venue is a quick 20 minute stroll from us. The beautiful grade II listed building was built in 1929 and has one of the most impressive facades on the street. We absolutely love the regal marble staircase inside, it always provides such a stunning back drop for photographs. Islington Town Hall is on bustling Upper Street where Dan and I ...

Trevenna Wedding Cornwall // Rachel & Tony
Trevenna in Cornwall is one of the most beautiful venues we’ve ever photographed. It’s a cluster of stunning old farmhouses surrounded by 142 acres of unspoilt Cornish countryside and set deep in the heart of Dartmoor, where the landscape takes on another worldly feel. As we drove through the moors on our arrival we passed wild ponies and snoozing lambs, (impossible to drive a few meters without pulling over to take photos) and we arrived just in time for an incredible sunset for a Trevenna wedding. Rachel and Tony had hired out Trevenna over the whole weekend which is an idea we really liked. They had organised a welcome barbeque and pub qu ...

Froyle Park Wedding // Kavita & Amrik
Dan and I had attended a traditional Indian wedding as guests before and I remember thinking how brilliant it would be to actually photograph one. Kavita and Amrik's Froyle Park wedding in December did not disappoint us! It was a cultural explosion of emotion, colour and energy like we had never seen before. With back-to-back ceremonies and traditions on the schedule, 3 bridal outfit changes and 200+ guests, this was not for the faint hearted to capture. Kavita and Amrik chose to have a rustic winter wedding just before Christmas at the beautiful Froyle Park in Hampshire. This historical manor house dates back to 1620 and is surrounded by 80 ...
