Woods Wedding // Georgie & Will

A Wedding in the Woods

It’s been an intense few months for us, with so many stories yet to share – but for now, we’re super excited to finally bring Georgie and Will’s woods wedding story over to you!

Back in June, we travelled towards the beautiful Chiltern Hills to document an emotionally packed celebration of love between two amazing people. It also happened to be our 1st year wedding anniversary, so the day felt extra special! Georgie and Will met four years ago at a design agency and (sweet fact), got to know each other via a knitting class! Will proposed to Georgie in Scotland last summer and they started planning what turned out to be such an incredibly special story we had the honour of capturing. They wanted a mega relaxed day to enjoy with their closest friends and family in the English countryside, complete with Tipi, camping, and by default, the great British weather!

Dan and I have been attracting some pretty gloomy skies these last few weddings, (even in the arid climes of the desert), but somehow mother nature has been kind, and we’ve managed to defy the odds of an all day wash out! Georgie and Will’s wedding was no exception. It rained heavily all morning and Will’s groomsmen dutifully wiped and re-wiped the chairs for the outdoor ceremony every time a shower hit, until at last, only a few minutes before Georgie turned up with her father to walk the aisle, it all cleared up and sweet sunshine ensued for the rest of the day! Phew…After an emotional ceremony, it was all about lazing around to enjoy life in the beautiful field they had set up camp in. Old friends caught up, kids ran around, new memories were being made…Later on in the evening, we took a bit time out with Georgie and Will, and caught some intimate moments between them as they enjoyed the amazing evening light, including a stellar sunset we would not have bet on 8 hours beforehand!

The Story…
